CÚRAM started with two brothers from Limerick, Ireland, and our search for a skincare solution that actually worked. While I (Conor) was travelling in the United States, I came across tallow—an ingredient that seemed a little out of place in the world of modern skincare. I was sceptical at first, especially given my struggles with acne and dry skin, but I gave it a shot. To my surprise, after just two weeks of using it, my skin felt completely different. It was softer, healthier, and way more hydrated.
When I got back to Ireland, I went looking for something similar, but I couldn’t find anything that matched what I had experienced. That’s when I thought, “If Ireland has the best grass, why shouldn’t we have the best tallow?” So, I started making my own tallow-based products at home and shared them with family and friends. They loved it, and that’s when the idea for CÚRAM really took off.
Mike, who also struggled with his own skin issues, was all in. We both wanted a simple, natural alternative to the chemical-filled products out there. That’s when we decided to turn this passion into a business. We wanted to create skincare that was pure, effective, and true to our values—sustainable, natural, and uncomplicated.
At CÚRAM, everything we make is powered by 100% Irish grass-fed beef tallow, because we believe in using the best ingredients from our own backyard. We’ve kept things simple, focusing on what really works for the skin. No fancy jargon, no harsh chemicals, just nature at its best.

Our Process
We spent time refining our formulas to achieve the perfect consistency, free from unpleasant odors and packed with nourishing benefits. Every product has been tested on our own skin and with the help of our friends and family until we found the perfect balance. At the heart of our balms are minimal, high-quality ingredients:
- 100% Irish grass-fed beef tallow, known for its deeply moisturizing properties and similarity to the natural oils in human skin.
- Cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil, chosen for its antioxidant-rich and soothing qualities.
- Essential oils sourced from Co. Wicklow, selected for their purity and ability to enhance the skin-repairing properties of our balms.
